ANNA TÓTH

Anna is a marketing professional from Szeged, a city famous for its paprika and vibrant food festivals. She loves exploring Hungarian gastronomy and often prepares with traditional recipes like gulyás and lángos in her kitchen (see our Culture section for more). She is also a language enthusiast who currently speaks three fluently and enjoys sharing techniques with fellow learners. When she is not contributing to the website, she likes spending her time with family and friends, especially at the hot springs...!

LÁSZLÓ KOVÁCS

Software engineer from Budapest, with a passion for technology and spreading Hungarian culture online! He also enjoys Hungarian folk revival music as well as hiking in the picturesque landscapes of his home country, such as the Buda Hills and Lake Balaton. What more to say? We would describe him as a friendly guy who likes debating current affairs. After work you’ll often find him sipping a coffee at a local café while reading a newspaper article on his phone.

With a sharp eye for strategy and a deep love for all things Hungarian, she is the digital voice behind our mission. Armed with a background in digital communication and audience engagement, she leads our outreach efforts with flair and precision. From creating eye-catching social media content to designing email campaigns people actually look forward to, she ensures our message stays clear, compelling, and culturally vibrant.

Passionate about Hungary’s evolving identity, she brings hidden corners of Hungarian culture into the spotlight—shining a light on regional traditions, emerging voices, and moments of heritage that deserve to be seen and celebrated. MIKLÓS NAGY

Born in Budapest and raised on a steady diet of Petőfi, folk songs, and theatre, Miklós has always viewed language as more than just rules—it’s a living, breathing expression of identity and culture. After earning his degree in Hungarian Linguistics and Literature, he spent several years teaching Hungarian to international students and creating educational content for language learning platforms.

Now a Language Content Developer on our team, Miklós brings together academic rigor and a love for spoken, everyday Hungarian. When he’s not writing or editing, you’ll likely find him wandering through antique markets, scribbling phrases in his notebook at a café, or cycling along the Danube—always observing, always absorbing.

ZSÓFIA TAKÁCS

Born and raised in Budapest, she grew up surrounded by thermal baths, fresh lángos, and the melodic rhythm of the Hungarian language. Living in a city where history and modern life intertwine, she developed a deep appreciation for the stories, sounds, and soul of Hungary—and found her purpose through its language.

She joined us with one clear goal: to make Hungarian more accessible and authentic. In a digital world overflowing with generic phrases and clunky translations, she’s committed to offering something real. And if her students walk away knowing how to use vowel harmony with confidence and how to win over a néni with their pronunciation? Mission accomplished!

ROBERT ANDERSON

Robert was born in the United States, in a multicultural neighborhood where languages mixed as freely as the weekend potlucks. Though his roots were Hungarian—his grandparents having emigrated from Szeged—he grew up speaking only bits and pieces of the language at home. What began as a vague curiosity about his family’s background slowly turned into a lifelong passion for the Hungarian language and culture.

Beyond teaching, Robert works as a writer and editor, contributing to Hungarian language learning platforms, developing curriculum, and hosting workshops on idioms, gestures, and everyday expressions. He has a special interest in connecting learners to the real, lived texture of Hungarian—from slang in the ruin pubs of Budapest to the sayings still whispered by elders in Szeged’s markets.
